This is what happens when you cross an interest in model rocketry with high school shop class.
I took the CO2 powered car I made in shop class my sophomore year and modified it to take C size Estes rocket engines. There are eye-hooks that run under the car on front and back that you run fishing line through in order to keep it going straight. The best surface is blacktop, but we had to use cement.
This was actually the second firing of the car. The first time I used a B size engine and then got confident and sent it down with a C6-3. It got to the end and ran off track and blew the engine into my brothers leg and almost caught his pant leg on fire. I had a blast and am waiting for a time to run it again.
Enjoy
