I recently(last year) went to Mazatlan, Mexico for my first Deep Sea Fishing experiance. We caught 12 mahi mahi all around the 15 pound range the first few hours we were out. Then about 3 hours later we hadnt even had a bite and everyone went in to get out of the heat, well i stayed out and toughed out and few minutes later the deck hand handed me a rod and ending up catching a 91 pound sailfish. Needless to say I have been hooked ever since. I live in ohio so I have to travel a long way to get to any ocean, and I am also a college student who doesnt have a lot of money to spend on fishing trips. I have been an avid largemouth bass fisherman for years and still love to do it, but the big game fish are calling my name. Can anyone reccomend when and were I should go to potentially land another marlin/sailfish. I recently subscibed to Marlin Mag and a lot of the places in there are just way to expensive. I would appreciate any suggestions or information on any charters I could contact. Thanks
