Me and my mate Daniel went up to the quarry in Furnace on 22nd July, left glasgow around 5.30am and arrived at Furnace around 7am …. Weather was ok but midgies were horrendous …. Daniel caught 2 mackies almost instantly on a spinner and i caught a dragonnet(?) and small pollock all before 8am …. great start. We were using ragworm as bait and seemed to do the trick. :boat:
Up untill about 2pm it was just a few pollock and then Daniel caught the first doggie, we then went on to bag 6 in total and then it went quiet again till tea time (5pm) and then it started to pick up again with us catching some pollock, another dragonnet and 2 starfish  left Furnace around 6.30pm couldnt believe we only caught 2 mackies all day, it was great day’s fishing, loved cathcing the doggies. :notworthy
This was our total for the day:
6 Doggies
2 Dragonet
2 Mackies
9 Pollock
2 Starfish :schmoll: (If they count)
I have added pictures of the species we caught.
Cheers :clap3:
